Wecome to the Mentis Design Department
Design can be loosely defined as the discipline of aesthetic engineering. It
is related to art in the same way that technology is related to science. Design
is, in essence, "applied art".
In this section we exhibit our design projects in two broad categories--graphics
and web.
Digital graphics, particularly of the 3D variety, has been one of the stunning
successes of computation science. A wondrous blend of art and science, it
has become an important form in modern society. This section is devoted to
our work in various aspects of graphics.
The World Wide Web is a wonderful communications medium, and people are still
learning how to make the most effective use of it. This section will chronicle
our experiments in this field. Of course, the Mentis website itself is an
ongoing experiment in web design.
