| Frequently Asked QuestionsIf you have a question for us that isn't answered in this faq, you can send
it to us at thought@mentis.ca. What's with the funky dates you guys use on your site?
Well, we haven't much use for the conventional calendar scheme, which breaks
a year up into 12 arbitrarily sized months. So, being somewhat iconoclastic,
we decided to adpot a scalar calendar for use on our site. A scalar calendar
simply numbers the days of the year consecutively, starting at 1 for the first
day. The date format is composed of the year, followed by a colon, followed
    by the day number.
Now, you may be thinking that this is all a tad confusing, and why would we
choose novelty over usability like this in the first place. Well, to address
these concerns, we've something planned to help you out: an article explaining
scalar dates in detail and our reasons for using them, including a script
to let you to convert your own dates between conventional and scalar formats.
Stay tuned, we'll let you know when it's ready.
What kind of stone do you use on your site?
The foundation, columns, and rooves are made of limestone. The contents tablet
is made of slate. Addendum: Infrequently Asked QuestionsThe following questions are, alas, asked far too infrequently. I'm an attractive woman who'd like to engage you in intellectual
    conversation, would you oblige me?
